April 2014: Phoned PC Recruitment office in Atlanta to learn more about the Peace Corps

May 2014:  Finished Application (a dozen or so long pages of questions/history/education/qualifications, Resume, CV, 2 essay questions, 3 letter of rec) 

June 2014: Notification of interview!

July 2014: interview with PC recruiter

July 2014: Nominated to serve in the Health Sector: (options in Belize, Rwanda, Swaziland, or Zambia). Picked Belize!

September 2014: started background/preliminary clearance: legal and medical

October 2014: Received preliminary clearance 

October 2014:  Interview with placement officer in Belize

November 2014: invited to join the PC Belize team and work with the Ministry of Health!

November 2014: officially accepted the invitation

April 2015: submitted all my medical forms (more Dr.'s apts and testing in two months than the last ten years!)

April 2015: received medical clearance!!!! (Last big step!)

May 13th 2015: Conference call with PC staff in Belize (1st contact)

May 23rd 2015: Tickets Booked!

June 23rd: staging in Miami

June 24th: fly to Belize City, Belize

June 25th: start orientation in Belmopan, Belize

July 2nd: beginning Community Based Training (living with host family 3 months during training)

?: Bridge to Service Week in Belmopan, Belize

?: swearing in

?: move to site
